Uniform

It is compulsory to wear the official Girraween Little Athletics Centre uniform during competition at our centre and at other events. The uniform consists of a blue singlet top with a black swirl pattern and a white running man on the side. You may no longer wear the blue single with two vertical white stripes down the front and the Girraween Little Athletics logo on the centre front. The singlet top is available for purchase at registration or by contacting the registrar on Friday nights. All athletes are required to wear black shorts that are available with the Girraween logo on them. During the cooler months it is wise to wear a black or white shirt only under the singlet top for warmth. It is important to note that it is a requirement of all official athletic carnivals that all athletes compete with their singlets tucked into their shorts.

Alternatively there is available a Bando top, to be worn with our black shorts, in the Girraween colours which can be worn as an official uniform.

All athletes must display their McDonald's registration number on the front of the singlet or bando top, under the logo. The red border must be clearly visible.

Age group patches are to be sewn to the left shoulder area of the singlet. For those wearing the Bando top, you may sew the age patch on the front left leg of your shorts, so they may be easily seen by officials.

Athletes competing in Zone, Region and State Carnivals must have our centre number 51 patch sewn on the back of their singlet or bando top to be eligible to compete. These patches are available by request from the announcement stand at the ground on centre competition nights.

All athletes must wear appropriate uniform at all times. Athletes will not be permitted to compete bare footed.
